Example, in 2021-23 ongoing feasibility of a 20 Gigawatt li-ion cell & battery plant; 2021 TRU Group is wrapping up an assignment on the use of 3D Printing Additive Manufacturing on the production line. In 2024 a state-of-the-art graphite coating line for anodes used in electric vehicle Ev batteries. And in 2025 ongoing metallic sodium and metallic lithium for futuristic solid state batteries. TRU Group has been engaged in all aspects of metallic magnesium for decades, used now 2026/7 in the booming drone armaments sector. AI looms dominant in 2026/27 but TRU Group was working in the AI space in the 1990's for aerospace and other sectors. Early on too we examined the target effectiveness of onboard equipment for autonomous vehicles "driverless cars" such as lidar, lasers, radar & ultrasound sensors with robotics, artificial intelligence, AI and vision systems). We thrive on advancing the conventional to state-of-the-art even in technologically mature industries. Example new 2016 automated USA batch-process pigment-paint plant and more recently for the same client the utility of addition of rare earth compounds to paint. Entering 2026/27 new extraordinary challenges continue in manufacturing given both the advent of the AI boom, drone armaments, etc., and Donald Trump's period as US President. On the latter, TRU Group holds that instigating trade tariff wars are counter-productive even in the long term for manufacturing and the US economy. It is instead crucial that US manufacturing radically upgrade its abysmal competitiveness with the rest of the world rather than protecting, essentially locking-in, the US manufacturing inefficiency, with tariffs!. In 2026 the US ranked a troubling 12th in "productivity & efficiency" compared to others!. (See TRU Group analysis "US Manufacturing"). By all means it is sensible to respond robustly to state subsidizing as in China or severely punish Russia economically and militarily for its ongoing murderous war crimes in Ukraine.
